May is a very emotional film that centers on a girl's hunger for social acceptance. Angela Bettis plays the title role and fills the role perfectly, displaying a wide range of emotions and showing true talent as an actor.

I agree with your review of this film, where you say Angela Bettis does a great job of acting. She's really incredible in this film. She can look sad and depressed in one scene, then be a giggly school girl in the next. Most of the time May looks completely out of touch with reality. Toward the end (after she snaps) she seems completely different, like a totally different character from the rest of the film. I was amazed at her abilities.

This film is definitely scary, and a couple of times I felt my stomach start to turn over. I couldn't stop watching, though. I'd recommend this to anyone who isn't afraid of some disturbing content.
