Large toaster ovens with good value
A Cuisinart toaster oven is a nice option if you are looking for good value for the money. Cuisinart makes four models that passed our screening tests. All of them are large toaster ovens (they hold a 12" pizza). Let's look at them in more detail.
Cuisinart TOB-155 Toaster Oven
I like my new toaster oven, and have recommended it to friends who bought one for themselves.
...I still manage to burn myself on it once every couple of weeks or so.
I had been leaning toward a Krups, but so glad I didn't.
This is a 1500 watt, 6 slice toaster oven with 0.6 cubic foot capacity. Exterior dimensions are 17-3/4" wide, 16" deep, and 9-5/8" high.

It has electronic touchpad controls, which are located conveniently just below the door. However, the usability of the controls is not as good as some manual controls. One person noted that you have to use 4 different buttons to toast a piece of frozen bread.
The crumb tray is also inconveniently located in the back of the toaster oven. You have to move the oven to remove the tray.

Pizzas crisp up nicely and my favorite banana bread recipe baked perfectly.
If you are into how your appliance looks as well as how it performs, you will be VERY pleased with this one.
...this oven works like a charm and looks elegant sitting on my counter.
This Cuisinart toaster oven is like the TOB-155 model, except that it uses convection. There is a small price difference between the two models, making this oven the preferred model.
Like the TOB-155, the TOB-195 has the same exterior and interior dimensions. The controls are very similar, too.
Cuisinart Convection/Broiler Toaster Oven
Controls are intuitive, temperature control is quite accurate...
So far, I've used it to make toast, a cake (from scratch), ladyfinger cookies, a casserole and two roasted 4.5 pound chickens in the oven.
The oven comes up to temperature much faster than our regular oven so we use it for everything.
This oven is slightly smaller than the other two, but has the same interior capacity.
Toaster oven reviews indicate this model has intuitive controls and accurate temperature inside the oven. Overall, it seems to be a good option.
Cuisinart BRK-200 Brick Oven Deluxe
This is ideal for the two-person home.
I did a fair amount of research and the Cuisinart BRK-200 emerged as the clear winner.
Bought oven as a gift for my husband and it is the best present I ever got him (we have been married for over 20 years)!
This is the most expensive model of Cuisinart toaster oven that passed our screening tests. You should read a few reviews for yourself and check the ratings for the latest information. Some reviews indicated problems, but there wasn't enough information to rule out this oven.
At 1700 watts and able to go to 500 F, this oven is larger than the others. It has a removable baking stone and 2 wire racks for multi-level cooking.
Unlike the other models, this one has an oven light for viewing the interior.
Overall, the Cuisinart TOB-195 convection toaster oven seems to be the best buy for the money.
